Michael Maien (born October 12, 1945, in Nuremberg, Germany) is a German actor, pop singer, screenwriter, and author. Trained at Munich’s Otto Falckenberg School, he made his film debut in 1965 with the controversial drama Wälsungenblut, earning the Bambi Award for Best Newcomer. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Maien became a prominent screen presence in popular cinema, appearing in educational films by Oswalt Kolle, crime films, sex comedies, and international genre productions. Mark of the Devil
Udo Kier is a witch hunter apprentice to Herbert Lom. He believes strongly in his mentor and the ways of the church but loses faith when he catches Lom committing a crime. Kier slowly begins to see for himself that the witch trials are nothing but a scam of the church to rob people of their land, money, and other personal belongings of value and seduce beautiful women.
